The NLPO have acquired a passionate and experienced leadership team to fully support non-league players both on and off the pitch.
The Fan.
John has been a player and a fan, as many have, in the Grassroots game. Growing up playing rugby and football as a past time for the enjoyment of the game.
An avid football fan he has spent time on the terraces and seen the progression of players who have come through the ranks from Grassroots to the top leagues.
During his playing time he suffered several injuries with the biggest being an ACL. The biggest shock was not the injury itself, but the recovery time and rehab. We are here to help support members through these difficult periods should the worse happen.
Supporting Grassroots has to be the future. To help sports grow and give opportunities to those who might not realise their own potential. The next Messi may not even realise they can kick a ball yet, or likewise the next Katie Ledecky might not be able to swim.
Paul Wilkinson enjoyed an illustrious 18-year professional football career, making over 650 senior appearances and scoring more than 150 goals. He began his career at Grimsby Town in 1982, where his impressive performances earned him a move to Everton in 1985.
During his time at Everton, he scored a memorable winning goal in the Merseyside derby and contributed to the team’s First Division championship win in the 1986-87 season.
Paul extensive experience as both a player and coach has made him a respected figure in the football community. His contributions to the game continue to inspire young footballers and coaches alike.
For PL & EFL footballers support is readily available at every turn. Clubs can ensure their players are looked after, providing world-class treatment when needed. Unfortunately, this level of care is not available for those playing within the non-league pyramid.
Non-league footballers put their bodies on the line in the same way as Premier League players but with nowhere near the same resources to provide support in times of need.
Without the same resources, players struggle to receive the appropriate support. The real lack of assistance can lead to prolonged time on the sidelines as well as financial, medical, and emotional issues.
NLPO are here to change that.
We’ve created a groundbreaking platform for non-league players designed to address common challenges the players are faced with on a daily basis.
Our platform offers a wide array of inclusive rewards, incentives, and benefits. We partner with Love My Club to also feed back vital funds into the non league and amateur clubs.'
The NLPO is here to give protection to the player and their family. We do this by providing health, wellbeing and funding when and where it’s needed.
The NPLO is driven to provide the best possible service to protect its members.
